Pearson, a global leader in lifelong learning, has announced that the Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic is now officially accepted for admission into Dutch higher education institutions.

This recognition, granted by the National Commission for the Code of Conduct for International Students in Higher Education, enables universities in the Netherlands to accept PTE Academic scores as proof of English proficiency for international applicants. Students aspiring to pursue English-taught programs in the Netherlands can now include their PTE Academic scores in university applications.

This development marks a significant milestone for PTE Academic, placing the Netherlands alongside other top study destinations that accept the test. The country hosts more than 128,000 international students and offers over 2,000 English-language degree programs, making it a hub of academic opportunity within the EU and beyond.

The Netherlands has become the second-largest provider of English-taught programs in continental Europe. With PTE Academic now accepted, both students and institutions will benefit from broader access to a secure, accurate, and globally respected method of English assessment.
